Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge have been married in Antibes, in the south of France, and it has been quite an event. During the special wedding ceremony and event, the bride wore Chanel for the occasion, three dresses that are a dream.

A few weeks earlier, the bride headed on a short trip to the Chanel haute couture salons in Paris accompanied by her best friend Ali Melle and her mother-in-law Lady Caroline Grainge for the final dress fitting. All the events were recorded by Vogue.

Sofia is the youngest daughter of singer Lionel Richie and at just 24 years old she decided to say yes to Elliot Grainge, music executive and founder of 10K Projects, in April 2022. They had been dating for a year but the families come from years of relationship. The parents have long collaborated as Grainge’s father is Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Sir Lucian Grainge. That is why they have been friends since childhood, and the closeness and ties between families are understood.

The bride told Vogue that being at Chanel in three wedding dresses was, in her words, “a bigger-than-life dream.”

The celebrations kicked off with the traditional rehearsal dinner, Richie tries on the high neck, long sleeved beaded gown with lots of beading as the dress code is cocktail attire. The ball gown is short, white, and structured, with Chanel’s iconic camellia front and center.

For the main t, the wedding dress is a crisscross neckline inspired by a look from Chanel’s fall 2023 collection. Overseen by Madame Olivia Douchez, premiere of haute couture salons, who highlights the details of iridescent white sequins. Inside Richie’s something blue is an “S&E” with the date below. Another detail is a heart design on the bodice, and another heart below, facing each other, a romantic wink.
