“Zara Pre-Owned” is Zara’s second-hand platform launches in several countries
On December 12, Inditex announced the launch of “Zara Pre – owned” after the launch of its pilot plan a year ago and which is already conquering Europe.
In November 2022, the brand launched in the United Kingdom, after its initial success expanding to France, last September and now seeks to reach 14 markets in Europe and its consumers. And for the first time, it will be launched in Spain.
Los países que podrán usar la plataforma son:Alemania, Austria, Bélgica, Croacia, Eslovaquia, Eslovenia, España, Finlandia, Grecia, Irlanda, Italia, Luxemburgo, Países Bajos y Portugal.
This new strategy is part of the commitment that Inditex wants to make with the growing sustainability and circularity market in the textile world. With the Zara Pre-Owned platform, they promote and encourage the repair of used clothing, the revaluation of second-hand pieces, donation and recycling.
Customers will be able to access the service through Zara.com, its mobile application and Zara stores.
As for the services, we explain them to you. Repair will repair used garments of any season, from replacing buttons to repairing seams. It can be accessed both in the online store and in physical stores. It will also have collaboration with local suppliers.
Resale will allow customers to sell and buy gifts from any Zara collection. With detailed information on each item, the original description and images of the current state.
The Donation may request the collection, at your own home, of used clothing, of any commercial brand, and allocating the garments to non-profit organizations, for reuse, recycling. We seek to work with local organizations.
All of this seeks for the company to meet the objective it set last July 2023. To reach the year 2040 with “zero neutral emissions”.
