Review: La Collection Rabanne
It has been three years of development for this collection, which in turn means the official launch of the brand in the world of luxury perfumery.
If you didn’t know, the Puig company currently owns Rabanne, and has surprised with its grand foray into the world of beauty, preserving the designer’s style. And now, he presents for the first time his exquisite fragrances that come in eight presentations. A collection that promises to put it in the sights of the next generation of perfume lovers.
As part of this expansion of services, the collection, intended for a specialized and demanding audience, is part of a broader image change that has led to the disappearance of the name “Paco” after the death of the designer at the beginning of last year.
The famous “EIGHT” motif created by Paco Rabanne himself is present as a charm in the collection.
And also under that symbolism that is so important to Rabanne and true to his style, it is impossible not to take the big step without reaching eight fragrances with their own personality. What’s more, the eighth fragrance, called Silver Skin is still awaiting its release, as of the publication of this article, like someone waiting for his lucky charm.
Among the names of the fragrances there are some products that choose to be named after what has made the brand popular. Among the ambers we have After Club, Rose 1969 and Night Soul; The first is distinguished by being aromatic, the second, as its name distinguishes it, is floral, while the third is woody. Also from the woody family but fruity with luxurious leather notes is Oud Montaigne. Midnight Sex, collects the best of these essences, has floral, fruity and woody notes. For its part, Mesh Metal is aromatic and musky.
For this occasion, Rabanne has decided to rely on six world-class master perfumers. And unlike his previous fragrances, he has not done consumer testing prior to its launch.
Its sale is also an exclusive experience, only on the Selfridges page in a packaging of 125 in Eau de Parfum concentration.
