Review: Guerlain Néroli Outrenoir
The limited edition of the Year of the Dragon brings us more than one surprise from Guerlain. This edition will only have 1,855 numbered pieces.
There is no doubt that Guerlain is one of my favorite brands (editor @dannywitko) when it comes to the world of luxury beauty and perfumery and when I found out they would make this special (and limited) edition I had to share it.
The New Year of the Dragon is one of the most energetic due to the value that this animal represents. This year begins on February 10 and for many it represents and symbolizes strength. And also, each year, the brand has announced that there will be a new collaboration in honor of the Chinese calendar.
The fragrance is part of Guerlain’s luxury collection called L’Art & La Matière.
Highlighting the color red, symbol of China and the dragon, Guerlain’s iconic Flacon aux Abeilles bottle has a magnificent golden dragon decorated with Swarovski crystals.
In its top notes, citrus fruits stand out and we have petitgrain, bergamot, acid lime, grapefruit, tangerine orange; in the heart are tea, neroli, earthy notes, orange blossom and smoke. For the base notes, spices and aromatic tones such as benzoin, vanilla, moss, ambrette musk and myrrh.
Designed for men and women, it was created jointly by Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser.
This concept has been created by the Parisian jeweler Francesco Truscelli, who has worked each decorated bottle by hand, highlighting the work with pure 24-carat gold, the placement of 142 Swarovski crystals and the 4 drop-shaped crystals mounted on cut chains and assembled.
The piece contains 125 ml with a 30 ml spray bottle at a cost of €750.
The sale is only through the official Guerlain website and selected brand boutiques.
