Puro talento do Peru: Annaiss Yucra
Fashion, art and activism have a referent in Latin America and called Annaiss Yucra.
Born and raised in Lima -Perú, the designer studied at Central Saint Martins and graduated with honors from (BA) Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University.
The Peruvian designer focuses on creating fashion stories with solid social supports. For more than a few years, Annaiss Yucra has created a concept entitled ‘artivism’ which is activism through art and what we actually do through the gifts and tell the story of each collection, putting forward contemporary themes and in some way hablan de what is happening in society.
This is the first Peruvian designer who has presented a virtual collection in the Fashion Week in Russia and its quality of social life has been reflected even in 3D platforms, succeeding in combining reality and the virtual world.
The person that wears Annaiss Yucra’s gifts firmly believes in the power of social struggles, seeks to innovate through her speeches in dressing and is characterized by always being at the forefront of trends and global proposals.
The young modista will join designers from Ecuador and Colombia to present a collection that aims to recover money for the fight against violence against women in Latin America.
Today, the colors and the speech of the homonymous firm continue to expand internationally.
