Men, I want to congratulate you as the world congratulates me. Happy Women’s Day

Before beginning, clarify that this is a note of opinion and reflection, let’s not mistreat what we have historically advanced and learned, and let’s respect the path that we are yet to learn. With simplicity, openness and active listening, today is a day to celebrate small and big achievements, and begin to be more tolerant of the fact that the struggle is constant and a life commitment.

Today is the famous and even commercially mistreated 8M, a day where from the moment you wake up until you go to sleep, people will distinguish more than ever that you have a gender that identifies you and a sexuality that should be “honoured.” But at what point did having one day to remember and 364 days to forget become normalized?

Throughout history, women have always played different roles, based on the fact that being the pinnacle for one day is not enough, on the contrary, we have always been the foundation. And although some extremist groups want to make it seem that being the base of some environment, or even society itself, is a terrible reality, I think there is no better praise for being so because without us the pyramid of life, family and society would not exist. society. The fact of being a woman on a daily basis, and recognizing it, embracing it and thinking about it, invites us to constantly grow, despite the obstacles. That is also something to admire, it is something that makes you mature and prepares you for life.

Because let’s be fair, life has not been so pleasant for women or men, each from their social roles. If we put it objectively on a scale, both had such extreme participation in the development of civilizations and humanity that each one has suffered in his own way. That could be a topic for another article. As I said, let’s be honest, not being one would be an act of selfishness and if to highlight one you must omit, harm or insult the other it is pure immaturity. Things are not like that, adult life should not be like that.

And, as a consequence of this, we must understand that this is a life commitment, and that the fight is constant, but not against another gender, but against oneself and one’s own taboos, whether imposed by society and that have been imposed. been integrated into our thoughts, personality and that affect us and make us unhappy. Society today is made up of a diversity of genders and the fact that women want to celebrate ourselves is not bad, only that we remember what we have achieved and as the foundation of who we are, we help others to reach their potential.

Let’s search in our being all those moments that give us true power. Our actions make us powerful, our words make us brave and the fact that we exist opening doors for ourselves or others, makes us loyal to our gender. That is what the feminine maturity of the predecessors before us has taught us.

Let’s normalize that there is admiration for people who do good. No matter the gender, we admire what the other does, we applaud their achievements. Perhaps when we understand this, we will realize that more than celebrating or commemorating March 8, it is about living with our heads held high to carry out actions that make the world better.

Today congratulate me for who I am, because tomorrow I will congratulate you for how valuable you are too. That is fairness and balance in life.
