The memorial that London fashion dedicates to Vivienne Westwood
Vivienne Westwood left us at the age of 81. She pioneer of the punk movement, political activist, forerunner of sustainable fashion, she left a unique legacy.
The British Council, organizer of fashion week, confirmed on Saturday, February 18, at the opening of London Fashion Week, a tribute to the artist, highlighting her work as “giving birth to and defining punk, changing it worldwide.”
The celebration lasted 90 minutes at Southwark Cathedral in London, where celebrities such as Victoria Bekcham, Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace, Marc Jacobs, Susie and Nick Cave or Alexa Chung attended. Even Helena Bonham Carter, who was one of the most faithful artists to use the style of the designer.
