Dior presents its Fall 2024 collection
Dior always looks for a way to maintain its style even when it follows the trends of the world. This collection presents a tribute to Marlene Dietrich.
With the arrival of the winter solstice, on December 22, it presents what will be the first part of its proposal that will be in its stores until next year, of its ready-to-wear line for women.
As usual, the final unveiling will take place in a grand parade, and it is expected that, as on previous occasions, it will be in a place representative of the collection. That’s why the next presentation may be in the United States.
His proposal represents the value “freedom”, bringing the concept to the representation of the city of New York.
And although New York has not been made official as the next location nor ruled out, the creative director of the house, the Roman designer Maria Grazia Chiuri, who has been the creative director of Dior’s women’s collections since July 2016, does have the city present in this proposal. And furthermore, she once again looks to the couturier Christian Dior, and his lifestyle, as a source of inspiration.
There is also the latent influence of the iconic German singer and actress Marlene Dietrich, whose androgynous ways of dressing were controversial in the first half of the 20th century. The clothing proposal goes from day to night, with a timeless color palette that remains elegant. Marked sense and homage to the style from the 1920s to the 1940s.
