Hello, Chameleon

Today I come with a news that has put the fashion world in mourning, the well-known Indian fashion designer Sharbari Dutta was found dead at her residence in Kolkata on September 17, 2020.

According to the police, Sharbari Dutta died after suffering a stroke and was found dead in the bathroom of her home. She was only 63 years old, she left us very soon 😔. She lived alone in her residence on Broad Street.

Members of the Bengali film fraternity, including Arindam Sil and Raj Chakraborty, gave their grief on social networks.

“Sharbaridi was such a dear person to me. I am surprised to hear that she is no more. A wonderful woman and smiling all the time. A talent that was our pride and joy. I hope you are at peace where you are now Sharbaridi,” said Arindam Sil via Twitter.

As Raj tweeted:

“I am lucky to have worked and been styled by her. I hope she is in a better place now.

Singers Parama Banerjee and Ujjaini Mukherjee, actors Srabonty Chatterjee, Rukmini Moitra and Pujarini Ghosh and director Debesh Chatterjee also expressed grief and shock at Ms Dutta’s death. “RIP Sharbari Dutta. She left too soon,” read one of her posts.

To call Sharbari Dutta a mere designer would mean forgetting the rest of the road that completes her long journey with fashion. More than 29 years in this industry, she really was an artist that the men and women of India needed to dress in a traditional, but elegant way.

Communicated in the official Instagram of the brand Shunyaa of Sharbari Dutta.
